It is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo. Using a manual hand tool to create fine, realistic-looking hair strokes to build a fuller eyebrow. Results last 2-4 years with a brow Refresh appointment to maintain brows.
A brow Refresh appointment is recommended every 2-4 years. If you do not get them refreshed brows will fade completely in 3-5 years depending on color, and skin type.
Microblading (& most services) are done in 2 sessions. The cost can be paid in full or split in half, due at each session. The first session is 2 1/2 hours long, most of this time is used mapping out the shape and then choosing your perfect color. Once we are 100% confident with your look we begin the tattooing- I use a lidocaine numbing cream during the process to help with any pain.
Microblading is moderately painful, if you can pluck your eyebrows, you can handle this. Lidocaine gel is used during our "second pass". This means I do a few strokes without any numbing in order to maintain the outline we drew- once the foundation strokes are laid down numbing gel is applied and the rest of the session is completely pain-free.
I recommend getting your brows maintained, AKA refreshed every 2-4 years. This depends on clients' lifestyles like how much sun you get, or the kind of face products you use daily. The brows should be mostly faded when you come in for your refresh.
Yes, everyone can get Microblading but please keep in mind if you have very oily skin, enlarged pores, ultra-sensitive skin, eczema, acne acne-prone skin microblading may fade faster than clients with normal, dry skin. You may require extra sessions or combo brows to get the desired look, but results can not be guaranteed. Skin tone is not a factor, people of all TYPES can enjoy the benefits of cosmetic tattoos.
